6 New Albums You Should Be Listening to This Fall
Summer in all its glory but it’s in the fall the album drops catch up with the rain; here are 6 new releases you should be listening to this fall:
Noname – Room 25. The Chicago rapper’s second album got out a few weeks back, filled with neo-soul and cosmic jazz. Her flow is as good as on 2016’s album Telefone, but her lyrics more mature.
The Blaze – Dancehall. The thirty-something-French-duo took the world with a storm with their single releases Virile and Territory accompanied by music video magic directed by the cousins themselves. Now they’re out with their first full-length album with pounding beats and flowing melodies.
Maribou State – Kingdoms in Colour. Kingdoms in Colour will take you on a ride across time and place. The British duo has scoured the globe for inspiration. They took field recordings of the cities they traveled to; Dehli, Lisbon, Sydney and used as inspiriation in the making of the album, leaving the listener with an exceptionally colourful sound experience.
Masego – Lady Lady. He’s been called “Pharell Williams’s slick younger brother” by the Guardian and compared with Stevie Wonder and Anderson Paak by Pitchfork, Masego is here with his debut album. He blends elements of hip hop, jazz, R&B and dance music into a set of songs celebrating the women who have inspired and supported him throughout his life.
Seinabo Sey – I’m a Dream. Sey’s new album is finally out on which she’s just that. A dream. She managed to meet and exceed rocket high expectations by a critical and dedicated crowd and tops off with a banging music video to Good In You released today as a preparty to her show in Globen on Friday October 5th .
