Noodle Recipe s, pasta recipes, soup recipes… Some get their food inspiration from friends, some by eating in restaurants and some by watching a movie. If you, like us, got a lot of cravings for Korean Food after watching Parasite (or Gisaengchung being the original title), we got you!
Obviously we went for the recipe that would only take a few minutes: Jjapaguri (also spelled chapaguri or 짜파구리). It is a modern mash-up of two popular instant ramen noodles: Chapagetti + Neoguri. And these can be found in any ‘Asian Market’ and in some selected ICA supermarket’s in Stockholm (ICA Folkungagatan being one). So, these cheap noodles are then tossed together with fancy beef like Korean Kobe, but don’t worry. Any steak with nice marbling would do. Like Sirloin or Ribeye, you choose. So, how to do it:
Serve as is or with Kimchi or anything pickled that you already have in your cupboard.
Enjoy your Jjapaguri!
Psst.. fun fact: so according to google, searches for Korean noodle recipe s went up 400% globally after the release of Parasite.
Psst… fun fact 2: Neoguri is the movie director Bong Jun Ho’s favorite noodle brand.
